Fromthe Main Square, Plaza de Mayo, with the Presidential Palace to the historic cobbled-stoned San Telmo district, the Italian quarter of La Boca quarter with its multicolor tin houses, the docklands of Puerto Madero, the curvy leafy streets of Palermo and the elegant Recoleta with its famed Cemetery. 

ARCHITECTURAL WALK – BUENOS AIRES MANSIONS (HALF DAY)

Characterized by a nostalgic, old-world beauty, the city that is referred to as the “Paris of the South” boasts marvelous architectural jewels. We shall explore on foot the elegant Recoleta and Retiro quarters with treed sidewalks, turn-of- the-century palaces and handsome apartment buildings. We shall visit the masterpieces that surround the sprawling Plaza San Martín, a Beaux Arts Palace built as residence for the Anchorena family; an imposing mansion inspired by the Louvre Palace, and a ground- breaking Art Deco skyscraper, a landmark that was at the time of construction, 1936, the highest concrete building in the world.

HIDDEN TREASURES (HALF DAY

 An insider’s journey to unveil unexpected places in the city: Discover a maze of tunnels dating from colonial times found beneath a spectacular architectural site. Visit the workshop of one of Argentina’s artist legends. Lathes and chisels galore, each ornament and piece of jewellery is crafted by hand, watch a dynasty of artisans at work. And last, a magical site lost in a suburb where the most exquisite leather pieces are crafted amongst an oasis of palms.

 Enjoy an innovative and educational day in Buenos Aires visiting a trilogy of the city’s most unique Museums paired with a fun culinary experience. For this original Museum Tour, we have chosen three of Buenos Aires’s most emblematic museums that also feature refined gourmet restaurants, so that we intersperse cultural visits with a progressive lunch affair. A glimpse into the country’s turbulent past takes us to the fascinating Evita Museum to follow the life of Argentina’s political myth, Eva Perón, and learn the secrets behind the legend. Secondly, one of Buenos Aires’ most imposing private mansions houses the Decorative Arts Museum, a lordly display of antiques and furniture. Revolving around modern and avant-garde movements leads us to the Costantini collection at the MALBA, one of the world’smost significant ensembles of 20th century Latin American art. 

FIVE SENSES (HALF DAY WITH LUNCH)

 For those with sense & sensitivity, we have designed a tour that explores Buenos Aires in a sensorial way. Our senses are the gateway to the brain and intellect. We shall go backstage of the Colón Theatre, one of the world’s most magnificent opera houses. The acoustics of this splendorous turn-of- the-century Italian Renaissance-style building with French and Greek influence is close to perfect. We shall delve into a world of perfumes in a laboratory where you can order your own fragrance. Bottles of mysterious scents inspired by natural elements line the walls from floor to ceiling in an almost overwhelming fashion. Off to a workshop of experimentation of textures and textile design, we shall visit Argentina’s top fashion designer. The traditional classification of the 5 senses is attributed to Aristotle, and sight or vision is perhaps the most compelling of stimuli. We visit the studio of Argentina’s most outstanding photographer, Aldo Sessa, a most rewarding sensorial experience. Flavours and aromas will top our sensory experience, delighting with a gourmet lunch paired with fine Argentine wines.

 A secret sources shopping tour will take us to private viewings of the city’s coolest designer showrooms. Buenos Aires is a cultural hub and has been awarded UNESCO’s first City of Design. Design-conscious travellers will relish in BA’s innovative design founded on melting cultural influences. From jewellery to leather and silver accessories, womenswear and home décor, we shall be hosted by Argentina’s top designers.

DELICATESSEN SPREE (HALF DAY WITH LUNCH)

 A must for foodies, experience local specialties Porteños can’t live without. Start with the art of tea, immersing in a sea of aromas by visiting Inés Berton’s (one of the world’s most sensitive tea noses) Tealosophy haven. Next is a Tasting of fine Argentine wines led by a Master Sommelier in an antique haven, Chef Donato di Santis’ Cucina Paradizo for a delight in honest Italian fare, and lunch with one of Argentina’s top chefs. Dessert is Volta’s to-die- for gelato, and last but not least, a Vasalissa chocolate treat.
